takes a deep breath Oh dear, it’s so worrying to hear about compromised accounts these days. The online world can feel quite scary sometimes, especially for those of us who didn’t grow up with all this technology.
I’m certainly no expert, but I would think the first step is to contact Kik’s support directly for guidance on recovering a hacked account. They must have some protocols in place.
More importantly though, I hope there are ways we can help educate kids and teens about online safety - choosing strong passwords, being careful what information they share, knowing what to do if something seems suspicious. Building that awareness and those smart habits early on is so crucial.
I’d be curious to hear from those more tech-savvy than myself - what other advice would you give? I’m always eager to learn so I can better guide my grandchildren through this digital landscape. It’s a whole new world for many of us grandparents! Any wisdom is much appreciated.
